Spring has arrived.
In the satoyama countryside, the appearance of butterbur sprouts (fukinoto) is often said to be the sign that winter has come to an end.
This year, winter somehow felt a little shorter than usual.Nearby ski resorts have even closed earlier than expected due to the lack of snow.
But once the snow melts, the countryside slowly begins to change its colors.More time can be spent outdoors, and the season for BBQ, bonfires, and fresh greenery begins.
Kakurekura moves from its quiet snowy seasoninto a time filled with sunlight.
And before long, the cherry blossom season will arrive as well.
If you are considering a spring stay,it might be a good idea to start planning a little early.
We hope you can take your timeand enjoy the changing seasons of the satoyama here at Kakurekura.
