About the Room

The storehouse, passed down through generations,
has been carefully restored by a local craftsman who truly understands wood.
With his skilled hands and respect for natural materials,
the space was reborn into a warm and timeless retreat.
You can still feel the traces of his work in every detail —
the grain of the old beams, the gentle scent of new wood,
and the quiet harmony between age and renewal.
While preserving the soul and character of the old storehouse,
we have added touches of comfort to make your stay peaceful and serene.
Here, surrounded by the warmth of wood,
experience the essence of Japanese tradition and slow living.
Time at Kakurekura
Kakurekura stands quietly in harmony with nature,
surrounded by the peaceful scenery of the Japanese countryside that changes with each season.
As a traditional storehouse, it has only one small window —
a design that invites you to step outside and truly feel the world around you.
Watch the rice fields sway in the wind.
Listen to the gentle rhythm of rain.
Sit under a sky full of stars, and simply be.
May these small, quiet moments in nature
become your most peaceful memories of Japan.
