When the Rice Fields Turn Golden

The view behind Kakurekura has changed so much.

The rice fields are slowly turning golden, and red dragonflies can now be seen everywhere above them.

A quiet sign that harvest season is getting close.

It has been about four months since the rice was planted.

We have watched these fields from the time the tiny seedlings first appeared above the water, through the deep green of summer, and now into this golden season.

The lush green fields are beautiful too,

but this is the view I love most.

Judging by when the rice was planted this year, we may only have another couple of weeks with this scenery.

For a little while longer, I just want to watch the fields slowly turn to gold.
