Between Green and Autumn Colors

After the rain, I visited the metasequoia-tree road about a 15-minute drive from Kakurekura.

The leaves are not yet in their full autumn colors.

Instead, the deep green is beginning to soften, shifting through yellow-green toward gold.

Later in the season, this road becomes busy with visitors, cars, and motorcycles.

But just after 7:00 in the morning, it was almost completely quiet.

It is a good time to go before breakfast, walk slowly, and take photos without rushing.

The morning light was especially beautiful.

With the sun still low, light came in almost from the side, and the long shadows of the trees stretched across the road like stripes.

Autumn does not arrive all at once.

There is beauty in the colors changing along the way.
