When the Rice Fields Grow Quiet

When the rice needed rain, almost none came.

And now, just as harvest season arrived, the rainy days seem to keep coming.

The sky can be a little unkind.

So we waited for a single clear day,and finally, harvest time came.

The rice fields behind Kakurekura have now been harvested.

The season when everything turns golden is one of my favorite times of the year.

And once the rice is cut, the fields become quieter, while the sky suddenly feels much wider.

As the view changes, the season moves on.

This year’s rice begins to arrive at the table, and the sounds of frogs and cicadas slowly give way to the softer voices of autumn insects.

The humid evenings of summer will soon begin to carry a little coolness in the air.

After the rice fields have finished their long season of work,Kakurekura, too, begins to move gently into its autumn chapter.

From watching the countryside,to listening to the insects and feeling the evening breeze.

As dusk begins to arrive a little earlier, you may notice sounds and air that feel different from summer.

On an autumn evening, stepping outside for just a little while may reveal another kind of time at Kakurekura.
